Senior Lead System Designer

The Alexa Design System has been the back bone of all Echo Show devices since our V1 device seven years ago. I started this design system as a necessity to help keep our designers within our team aligned, as well as help our engineering teams save time, and utilize existing components, and styles. In the last seven years the Alexa Design system has grown to support many new devices, and bring consistency to our partner design, and engineering teams. The Alexa Design System currently contains over 25 components, styles, and templates. Our system of Figma libraries allow for designers to build experiences with engineering supported UI elements, speeding up the design to engineering handoff, and helping to ensure higher quality deigns. I work closely with our engineering team to ensure every component and style is throughly spec’ed for all breakpoints, formates, and parameter combinations to help engineering build the best possible design system they can.
